Friends of Doraville Library logo
Logo for the Friends of Doraville Library (2021).
I was told they didn't want a clichéd book logo. In researching it I saw a lot of Friends of [X] Library logos also included hearts or hands, so I wanted to avoid those as well. At the same time they do want it to represent what they are and what the library is.
So the design doesn't overtly represent a book like a clichéd library logo would, but the multiple faces subtly allude to pages; the rectangle on the left alludes to both a book cover and a doorway to knowledge.
The different colors and shapes of the faces reflect Doraville's diversity but also includes the colors of the Doraville city quatrefoil logo.
